Evening Yin Yoga ☾ Stretch, Breathe & Relax

Take a moment for yourself - a time for rest, stillness & introspection.

What is Yin Yoga?

Yin yoga is a passive and restorative practice, primarily focusing on floor- based postures which are held for 3 to 5 minutes. Each pose is held in stillness with a sense of relaxing and releasing using the breath and mindfulness to gently guide the mind and observe sensations. The use of props like blocks or books and cushions or blankets to support the body is common practice within the context of Yin Yoga. This practice is a deeply nourishing and restful practice that anatomically targets the joints and fascia, creating more space and flexibility. Energetically it focuses on the meridian lines which reside within the facia. It is influenced by 3 spiritual traditions, the Vedic tradition, where we know traditional yoga from, Chinese Taoism, where we gain the wisdom of the 5 elements, and Tibetan Buddhism with their mindful practices.

What will I get from it?

Stretching, deep relaxation, self-love, and restorative sleep.

What do I need?

A yoga mat, comfortable clothes, some blocks, and cushions or blankets for support.

How much does it cost?

Whatever your heart feels. This class is on a "pay what you can" basis, so if you are struggling right now, you are more than welcome to join the class for free. For the ones who wish to support me, I will share payment options at the beginning of the class.
