***THIS IS A BIPOC ONLY EVENT***
As it get’s colder we take the opportunity to come together as a community and enjoy an afternoon filled with yoga and art.
Over and over again yoga has been proven to both improve and individual as well as the collective well being. We will flow through a joyous sequence of movements with a focus on deep breathing. This will provide a sense of ease and relaxation witch is the perfect foundation for letting our creative juices flow.
Art is the language of the soul. Many of us have learned to suppress our human desire for creative expression. It’s not about being technically skilled or artistically gifted, it’s about using colors and paper for expressing our most inner self and reclaim our innate yearning for creative self-expression in a safe and supportive container.
Although yoga and art are the two pillars of this gathering, the main idea is to come together as BIPOC of varying backgrounds and connect through engaging in positive and uplifting activities.
This event is open for everyone who identifies as BIPOC and wishes to spend quality time in the community of like-minded people. Experiences in yoga or art are not required.
Arrival
We’ll start at 12 pm. Doors will be open from 11:30. Please make sure to arrive at least 15 min earlier.
After entering Oyoun you can choose between two staircases. If you take the one on the right hand side, you walk to 1st floor and then take a left, if you take one on your left hand side, you walk up and take a right. The room is called R1.
What to bring
Oyoun is not a yoga studio, so you’ll have to bring your own mat, if you own yoga blocks or a meditations cushion, bring em along. I also advise you to bring along a sweater or a blanket to keep you warm and cosy during final relaxation. A water bottle is also a good idea.
Art supplies will be provided but if you have stuff at home that you want to use or would be willing to share, you can bring them with you.
Health
Please only come if you are 100% healthy and come tested. Windows will be opened regularly.
Price: 25€ - 30€ depending on your financial situation. Regular price is 30€. 25€ is for unemployed persons or people with low income, students and refugees.
Open for all ages, genders and levels of experience in yoga and artsy stuff. BIPOC ONLY.
