In this handstand workshop, you will tackle the technique of the handstand intensively but playfully. With a modular structure, Lukas will guide you through the individual parts of the handstand, which you will disassemble together. In this way, the individual tasks of the various joints and body parts can be better understood and the interaction is easier afterwards. You will then put everything back together and thus create the basis for a sustainable and goal-oriented handstand practice. This workshop offers the know-how to build up and structure your own training later. This workshop is for you if you don't find it easy to balance for 40-60 seconds on the spot.
About Luke:
Luke is originally from Berlin. Once he discovered his love for teaching, he started teaching full-time. Before that he was mainly on stage after his artistic training. His favorite topics, which he likes to take apart like a puzzle and put back together with the participants in a way that is understandable, are handstands and soft acrobatics - a mixture of floorwork, dance and acrobatic elements with a spice of capoeira. He’s more interested in understanding the exercise than in learning an "impressive trick". Maybe he picked this up from his circus training - it's just not worth it that so many hurt themselves while learning something "impressive". For Luke, flowing movements and impressive skills are the natural result of a solid basis.
