From Head to Toe - Feldenkrais+ | Spine, Shoulders & Chest

  • b23 23 Greifswalder Straße Berlin, BE, 10405 Germany (map)

Hosted by Pauline Payen

About the event:

Your back is more than just a structure of bones and muscles; it is a landscape of experience, carrying the weight of our past, the posture of our present, and the flexibility of our future. It is both a pillar of strength and a gateway to fluidity. Your back supports you, carries you, and allows you to stand tall, yet it also has the remarkable ability to bend, curve, and move with grace in many directions.

In this session, we will continue to work from our backs as we did in the last session, focusing on the relationship of the shoulder-girdle with the spine and the rest of the body. The shoulder girdle functions as the anchor that attaches the upper limbs to the axial skeleton. It allows for a large range of motions but we often have a stiffer image of it. Exploring the intricate connections we have to our backs — we will search for how movement, awareness, and subtle shifts can bring ease, freedom, and newfound possibilities. You can jump in for this session even if you did not participate last time!

The series is open to everybody and you are encouraged to be exactly how you need to be at the moment! Nothing to bring except loose and warm clothes. Blankets, mats, water & tea will be provided. If you have a special physical condition you would like to talk about beforehand do not hesitate to reach out and we will find the best way for you to feel comfortable in participating.
