Connecting Across Borders 〜 Cacao & Kirtan

  • Mahalaya Yoga 76 Boxhagener Straße Berlin, BE, 10245 Germany (map)

Hosted by Radha Prema & Kim

A cacao ceremony according to Mayan tradition accompanied by the sounds of Indian mantras and the harmonium.

- Guatemala meets India -

Let's lovingly push boundaries. Not just the ones that exist in our heads, but the ones we create on the outside to separate ourselves from ourselves and love in its purest form. In many cultures people sang, danced and played instruments together in a circle. Endorphins crackled in the air. Connections were created by celebrating with one another, setting intentions within those celebrations, and giving our voices to one another. This is what the indigenous peoples called healing! There are many writings that go so far that quarreling tribes found peace for a moment around the fire while making music together.

We want to create a connection, a bridge, with you this evening. A bridge into your heart and associated with it strengthen the mindful perception of your environment, whether it is a person, a tree, an animal or a thing.

EVERYTHING is energy, just like you, and with the medicine of cacao, which can literally biochemically create the feeling of being in love in you, we will sing, dance and celebrate. Falling in love with life!

Ix is a goddess of the Mayan culture who is associated with both mother earth and cacao. It brings all living things together and it knows no boundaries in the form of a fence that separates two areas. Because she owns everything and nothing at the same time. She is. She loves and knows about the power of community.

Are you ready to embark on a journey with Kim and Radha, who carry India and Central and South America in their hearts and share their knowledge and gifts with you?

About the Facilitators

Radha Prema is a mantra singer, ceremony leader and holistic health coach from Berlin. She lived for several years in various ashrams, including Yoga Vidya Bad Meinberg, where she trained yoga teachers and taught mantra singing and Ayurveda. Her path took her deep into Bhakti Yoga, the path of devotion and love for the divine, which meant she spent time in Switzerland and India and immersed herself in prayer and chanting. Their intention is to bring human existence together with one's own spiritual nature in an authentic and essential way.

Kim moves through life as a traveling cultural bridge, a constant student of life and an inquisitive medicine woman, with this medicine expressing itself in very diverse forms. She sees herself as a travel companion, human design alchemist, speaker and cocoa guardian. She lived in Peru for almost 4 years and has been back in Berlin since November 2023. There she shares the medicine of Forest Yoga. Through her travels, Kim has acquired a deep knowledge of cacao and has also worked directly with a cacao-growing community in Peru.
