In this day retreat, we’ll embrace the start of the year by focusing on self-care practices that empower you without needing a “new you.” Enjoy a thoughtfully guided day of yoga, pranayama, journaling, and vision boarding, designed to ground and uplift you as you enter the year ahead. Take home your own “toolbox” of practices to support your journey, alongside new connections and a refreshed mindset. Perfect for all levels, from beginners to seasoned yogis.
What to expect:
Plan to arrive 15 minutes early to settle into the space so we can start on time. Our day will flow through a series of guided group activities, from energizing movement sessions to mindful relaxation practices, all designed to inspire and recharge you.
All activities are optional, so you’re welcome to participate as much or as little as you like. Below is a general outline to give you an idea of the day’s flow (though it may naturally shift as we get going).

10:00 - 10:30 AM - Welcome and Arrival Tea: Settle in with herbal teas, meet fellow participants, and get comfortable in the space.
10:30 - 11:45 AM - Morning Yoga Flow: Start the day with an invigorating Vinyasa flow to awaken the body, preparing for deeper inner work.
11:45 AM - 12:15 PM - Pranayama Practice: Ground yourself with calming breathwork, creating space for clarity and mindfulness.
12:15 - 12:45 PM - Reflective Journaling: Dive into guided journaling prompts to reflect on past growth and explore intentions for the coming year.
12:45 - 1:45 PM - Nourishing Brunch: Savor a wholesome plant-based brunch with fresh juices and teas to nourish body and mind.
1:45 - 3:15 PM - Vision Board Workshop: Let your creativity flow as you craft a personal vision board & the foundation for your home practice, focusing on intentions, goals, and dreams for the year.
3:15 - 3:45 PM - Closing Circle: Share insights from the day, set intentions to carry forward, and prepare to take your “better toolbox” into the year.
4:00 PM - Departure: Leave feeling inspired, grounded, and equipped for the journey ahead.
About the facilitator
Sarah is a katonah yoga teacher who loves to combine explorative asana, uplifting breathwork and meditation. She is passionate about combining various methods such as analogies, taoism and Chinese medicine. Sarah believes the power of analogy allows the individual to use life experiences to define the personal and understand the collective.
