100hr Pre- and Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training

This 100hr pre- and postnatal yoga teacher training is designed to enable high-quality teaching of pregnancy yoga and yoga after birth. The two modules can be booked separately.

The aim of this training is to provide you with extensive knowledge about teaching and all aspects of pregnancy, birth and the period afterwards and to provide you with methods and tools with which you can later teach pregnant women and young mothers safely and competently.

The training includes 100 hours, plus 20 hours of mandatory assistantships and visits/observation of prenatal/postnatal yoga classes with reporting in order to gain more experience. There are also hours for homework, reading and studying compulsory literature.

Modules

Yoga for pregnant women is fundamentally different from yoga for non-pregnant women. It is important to know the different phases of pregnancy and the physical, hormonal and emotional changes during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. Even after the birth, it is important to support the young mother sensitively and professionally. This includes comprehensive knowledge of the structure of the pelvic floor and the postnatal stages.

At the end of the overall training, you will be able to put yourself in the shoes of both the pregnant participants and the young mothers and make your yoga class a very special experience or to independently accompany your own pregnancy and the period afterwards through yoga .

Module 1 (Prenatal Yoga)

  • Basics of prenatal yoga, role of the yoga teacher vs. midwife/gynecologist,

  • Adapted exercises/asanas for pregnant women with sun salutation variations

  • Designing yoga classes for the trimesters

  • Modification of exercises and assistance with pregnancy symptoms

  • Stress management, meditation & relaxation for pregnancy and birth

  • Massage techniques for pregnant women

  • The phases of pregnancy with a focus on physical, hormonal and emotional changes

  • Anatomical and physiological characteristics and functioning of the organs during pregnancy

  • Basic knowledge about complications such as miscarriage, premature labor, high blood pressure, etc.

  • Applying traditional yoga philosophy to lifestyle and well-being during pregnancy

  • Breathing exercises to make childbirth easier

  • Partner exercises to prepare for birth

  • Birth process and transition

  • Basics of body language and voice training for yoga teachers

Module 2 (Postnatal Yoga)

  • Basics of postnatal yoga

  • Adapted exercises/asanas for after the postpartum period

  • Postnatal exercises with the baby

  • Stress management, meditation, relaxation for new mothers and breastfeeding

  • Physical, hormonal and emotional changes during the postpartum and breastfeeding periods

  • Anatomical peculiarities after birth, structure and regression of the pelvic floor

  • Strengthening the mother & child bond, dealing with the newborn, basics of baby massage

  • Basics of body language and voice training for yoga teachers

Training FAQ

  • Pregnancy is a big change in a woman's life. As an expectant mother, a lot of new things await you, especially with your first child. For many women, it is therefore an ideal phase of life to start practicing yoga.

    It is a big responsibility to be able to accompany expectant and young mothers during this time. This 100hr pre- and postnatal yoga teacher training is based on the Yoga Alliance Standards (RPYS) and is tailored entirely to the needs of pregnant women and mothers. You will learn how to conduct beneficial, systematically structured yoga classes to support pregnancy, prepare for birth and recover afterwards.

    The training takes place in a caring, soothing atmosphere and is led by Füsun Folger (founder of Enso, pre/postnatal yoga teacher and mother of two) and an experienced midwife!

    The training is recognized as an additional module to the 300hr Enso yoga teacher advanced training.

  • The 100hr pre- and postnatal yoga teacher training is designed according to the Yoga Alliance standards (as of 2022) and enables high-quality teaching of pregnancy yoga and yoga after birth. The two modules can be booked separately.

    In this extensive, interactive training, Füsun Folger shares all her knowledge and personal experience as a mother of three on the subject of yoga during pregnancy and the period after birth. Part of the training is also provided by an experienced midwife.

    The aim is to provide you with extensive knowledge about teaching and all aspects of pregnancy, birth and the period afterwards and to provide you with methods and tools with which you can later teach pregnant women and young mothers safely and competently.

    Each participant receives handouts. After passing the exam, you will receive an Enso participant certificate and, after completing all assistantships and required literature, an Enso completion certificate.

  • This pre- and postnatal yoga teacher training is suitable for aspiring and certified yoga teachers as well as for midwives, doulas and anyone who is interested in it for private reasons. The two modules can be booked individually and independently of each other.

    Attention: Participation is also possible during pregnancy. We recommend asking your gynecologist beforehand and advise against active participation in the postnatal module.

  • Classic Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga is the basis of this training. The training conveys the ancient tradition of yoga and of course also incorporates the latest scientific findings. This pre- and postnatal yoga teacher training is based on the guidelines of the Yoga Alliance (as of 2022, RYS 100h).

    The training has been registered with Yoga Alliance and is just pending confirmation.

    All participants receive an Enso participation certificate after attending the modules and the exam. An “Enso pre- and postnatal yoga teacher training (100hr)” certificate is issued after successfully passing the written and oral examination, attending the assistance sessions and after submitting reports on the yoga classes attended and compulsory literature.

Füsun Folger

Born in Istanbul, raised in Berlin, Füsun brings a wealth of experience to her yoga practice and teaching. From navigating two cultures to a background in HR management in different companies, her journey as an Enso founder shapes her unique perspective on yoga. Offering structured sequences that balance strength and flexibility, Füsun specializes in alignment-based vinyasa yoga. With over 500 hours of training, including pre- and postnatal yoga, she continually refines her approach through workshops with international teachers. Füsun sees yoga as a lifelong journey of self-discovery and in finding balance, welcoming practitioners of all levels to join her in Köpenick/Friedrichshagen. Alongside regular classes, she leads workshops and teacher training, sharing her wisdom and experience as a mother of three.

Pricing

Costs per module: 750€ (TTs 380€)

Costs for both modules: 1.200€

The fee must be paid when registering for the training. Payment in installments (3 installments) is possible. The price includes the respective modules, the handouts, the Enso certificates and supervision after completion. 

In addition, every participant receives a free 3-course trial card for participation in regular Enso courses for the duration of the training. 

Location

The training takes place at Enso Studio in Köpenick/Friedrichshagen. The studio is easily accessible by public transport and offers a retreat where you can focus entirely on yourself and fully devote yourself to your yoga path.
